Letter to Phoebe- Ten Months

Dear Phoebe,

This month started with quite the excitement, you standing up unassisted! You were so pleased with yourself! Since then you have taken steps while holding on to something but no proper walking just yet. We know you're close because you'll often stand up and focus on something nearby. You look as if you know what you have to do to get to it but just can't make those legs do what you want. Fortunately there's been little frustration over it and I am more than happy for you to take your time.

You've also had more teeth come through; that makes six with another one on the way. You are drooling and chewing on everything so I've spent a good part of this month fishing contraband out of your mouth, much to your disappointment! There's usually tears.

Perhaps my only grievance of late is that you are still rolling over during your nappy change! Every time without fail! All I want to do is change your nappy, it won't take long, I promise! Please just lay on your back and let Mummy change you and you'll be on your way again before you know it!

Your playfulness has reached a new level this month which has made for plenty of laughter. A sweet thing we've noticed you do in the middle of play is throw your body down (usually on the floor or bed) with your face to the side and let out a big sigh. I love when you do this, it's so cute. You exude nothing but contentment and joy.

Oh sweet girl, I can hardly believe you are ten months. Soon it will be time to start planning your first birthday party!

All the love,
Mum xx

In case you missed it, here's last month's letter to Phoebe.
