Clandulla Cottages

Over the recent long weekend we headed south to a little family farm stay called Clandulla Cottages in the Gold Coast Hinterland. What was initially to be just a big family catch up turned into the wedding of my sister-in-law and (now) brother-in-law. It was a perfect afternoon and naturally, the bride and her maids were stunning. For those so inclined, a selection of wedding photos taken by Moments by Bec can be found here. I didn't take any because sometimes, there's something delicious about savouring a special moment as it happens, and not through a screen. I did however enjoy some quiet time wandering the grounds taking some landscape and still life pictures.

Just like with Yamba, I really felt like I was away and it was great to finally have the time to reconnect and simply hang out with family. Aside from the wedding, a highlight of the weekend was Sunday afternoon sitting around an old table with my siblings-in-law while our children played nearby. Tired from the wedding the day before, we happily sat in the cool breeze while the sun set behind us. Somewhere along the line leftover wedding cake was brought out and we enjoyed it with our drink of choice. I'm sure the cake tasted better because all our little folk were far too busy playing to realise what we had. Bliss.

Below are some photos of our quiet country surroundings, if you'd like to see.

Cousins. We want the boys to recreate this photo in twenty years time.
